Lynn Whitfield on her new series “Greenleaf”

Lynn Whitfield is an Emmy Award-winning actress who is currently starring in the new original drama series “Greenleaf,” which premieres tonight at 9c on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network.  We discussed the concept of the series, how the amazing cast quickly developed their chemistry, and what it’s like to work with Oprah for the third time.

Nate Berkus is celebrating 20 years of his design firm, Nake Berkus Associates, and is also rolling out a specially designed line of appliances for LG Studio.  We talked about his basic design philosophy, why he jumped at the chance to put his own stamp on the latest technology in appliances, and why Chicago still means so much to him.

 

Glenn Kenny on the Oscars

Glenn Kenny is a film critic for Roger Ebert’s website and also the author of “Anatomy of An Actor: Robert DeNiro.”  Glenn called in to share his thought’s on last night’s ceremonies, and agreed with me that while Neil Patrick Harris generally did well, it’s not wise to mess with The Oprah.
