Chef Eric recently won Cutthroat Kitchen’s “Superstar Sabotage.” He’s got a brand new show on the National Geographic Channel, “Eric Greenspan Is Hungry.”  We had a very entertaining chat about hunting, fishing, hipsters, and grilled cheese sandwiches.

Claire Robinson from “5 Ingredient Fix”

It’s always a great time when Claire Robinson calls in to share menu ideas or her latest cocktail creation.  Today, we talked about the “Share A Meal” program, where up to 100,000 meals will be provided for hungry families this season.  We also co-create a drink recipe live in front of your very ears!

Chef Alex Guarnaschelli

Alex is regularly seen on Food Network’s hit series “Chopped” and “Iron Chef America.”  She called in to share some dessert ideas for the holidays.   Alex is a notoriously tough judge on “Chopped,” so it was fun to hear her lighter side and actually make her laugh!

Chef Amanda Freitag

BWUC EXCLUSIVE:  Chef Amanda Freitag reveals why Brussels Sprouts suddenly became edible in 2002!  She also shared a great pork-on-pork recipe, which I misunderstood as pork-on-pork-on-pork and inadvertently made it better.   Next:  pork-on-pork-on-pork, batter-dipped and deep-fried — coming soon to the Wisconsin State Fair.

Food Network’s Sandra Lee

We always have a good time when Sandra Lee calls in.  Today she had a nice candy corn buzz on as she shared tips on Halloween costumes, decor, and adult beverages.  At the end, she called me “honey.”  Either she forgot who she was talking to, or we’ve really bonded over the years in the 6-to-8 minutes we have together every 6 months or so.

“Top Chef” Stephanie Izard

Restaurant owner, James Beard award winner and Top Chef Season 4 champion Stephanie Izard called in to talk about a new series of stamps issued by the U.S. Postal Service to honor some legendary chefs.  We also talked about her recent win on Top Chef Duels, then I derailed the whole chat by shamelessly begging for a reservation at  Girl & The Goat.

Chef Robert Irvine

Chef Robert Irvine from “Dinner Impossible” and “Restaurant Impossible” called into plug his upcoming live show, share some tips for dining on the road, and threaten to crush my skull with his bicep.
