The Big Wakeup Call’s 10th Anniversary Show!

We celebrated an entire decade of whatever it is we do here with calls from some of our favorite and most frequent guests, including Scott Aukerman from “Comedy Bang Bang,” Ben Gleib from “Idiotest” and the new “Nowhere Comedy Club,” Dylan Brody from “The Corona Dialogues,” Best-selling authors and fashion bloggers Heather Cocks & Jessica Morgan, and the only member of the 400 timers club, the World News Center’s Bill McCormick.

We also revisited clips from some of my favorite interviews over the years, including Graham Nash, Mike Love, Dick Cavett, Kristen Schaal, Vanessa Bayer, Jim Breuer, Jim Gaffigan, and Elvis Costello.

Thank you for all of your support over the last ten years.  Thank you to all of my guests who have made the show so special.

I hope I can get at least another couple dozen shows out of this.

Judah Friedlander

Judah Friedlander is a comedian, actor and World Champion of the World.  He’s also the author of a new book “If The Raindrops United,” featuring his drawing and cartoons.  We discussed how the book allows him to address issues he wouldn’t normally talk about in his stand-up (a cartoon featuring “Gentrification Man”), how the book came to be, and which celebrity endorsement on the back we should be most impressed with.

Kristen Schaal: Throwback Thursday

From The Big Wakeup Call Vault(tm):  Kristen Schaal called into the show in May of 2013 to talk about the season finale of Bob’s Burgers and their upcoming live tour.  We also talked a little bit about Flight of the Conchords and the rumored huge makeout session at the 30 Rock wrap party.  Listen for me to say a naughty word that almost derails the interview and puts the entire show in jeopardy for several seconds!
