Jackson Galaxy

Jackson Galaxy called in to talk about a special episode of “My Cat From Hell” airing this Saturday night at 8/7c on Animal Planet, where he takes 50 kittens from an L.A. animal shelter on a 17 hour drive to his hometown of Boulder, Colorado in search of forever homes.  We also discussed introducing a new pet to a home with a current pet, and how dogs and cats can get along.

Bill McCormick called in from the World News Center for an update on the Battle of the Garage Bands, special Wonder Woman screenings, and legally copying VHS tapes. Plus: weathermen in space, nuclear waste diamonds, and infinite batteries.

MLB first ballot Hall-of-Famer Dave Winfield called in to talk about his partnership with Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, where he and other MLB stars talk about people who made a difference in their lives.   We also talked about playing in Wrigley Field as a member of the Padres, why student athletes should play more than one sport (and take time off during the year), and why Cubs fans should climb down off the ledge.

Noah Alexander

Noah Alexander has been restoring and customizing classic cars at his studio in St. Louis for several years, and now is the host of a new series on Velocity, “Speed Is the New Black,” which premieres Wednesday, May 24th at 9/8c.  It was fun chatting about Corvettes, Camaros, Porches, and my Toyota Camry.

Bill McCormick called in live from the World News Center with a light and somewhat fluffy update as we covered Guardians 2, Avengers, Ant-man, Wonder Woman, and Marvel’s Diversity Debacle.  Plus:  A visit to downtown Downers Grove.

Kym Johnson Herjavec

Kym Johnson Herjavec returned to the show to talk about the opening of her new dance fitness studio in Los Angeles (on the site of Richard Simmons’ old studio) and how she’s making online classes available as well.  We also discussed the progress of beloved Chicago Cub David Ross on “Dancing With The Stars.”

 

Brian Southall

Brian Southall has worked in the music industry for over 50 years and is the author of a fab new book chronicling the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ masterpiece, “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band: The Album, The Beatles and the World in 1967.”  We had a great chat about the Beatles and the making of the record that could have gone on for hours.
