The Movieman took time out from a vicious Twitter war to share his thoughts on “Big Hero 6” and “Interstellar.”  He also shared an insider tip on successfully handling movies that run a little too long.

Joelle Carter from “Justified” on her new movie, “Jessabelle.”

Joelle Carter stars as Ava Crowder on FX’s Peabody Award-winning drama “Justified.”  Her newest project is “Jessabelle,” a thriller film out today in select theatres as well as video on demand.  We discussed the audition process for the film, how she might be leading a resurgence in VHS technology, and how much she enjoyed Ben Garant’s script.  I also sneakily tried to get her to reveal spoilers for the upcoming 6th and final season of “Justified.”

Chef Alex Guarnaschelli

Alex is regularly seen on Food Network’s hit series “Chopped” and “Iron Chef America.”  She called in to share some dessert ideas for the holidays.   Alex is a notoriously tough judge on “Chopped,” so it was fun to hear her lighter side and actually make her laugh!

Chris Gorham called in to talk about the return of “Covert Affairs” on the USA network, with new episodes beginning Thursday night.   He discussed the episode he directed next week, whether or not he’s an “actor’s director,” and the surprising way he learned how to play a CIA operative.

Heisman Trophy winner Danny Wuerffel

Danny Weurffel won the Heisman Trophy after the 1996 season when his Steve Spurrier-led Florida Gators won it all.  He talked about being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, and was joined by Hall president John Stephenson, who shared details on a special promotion to honor Coaches who Care.
